WATER SPORTS WEEKLY
A national weekly television series about water sports. The
series was produced, written and directed by Betty Wills. It ran
on national sports cable networks for three years, and covered a
variety of sporting events
that took place either on, in, or near the water, such as water skiing,
boat
racing, and tournament fishing.
HOOF BEATS
A weekly television series covering all breeds of horses, and
horse-related events. The series was produced, written and
directed by Payne Roy, and broadcast by Gaylord super station KTVT in
Dallas/Fort Worth. The program was also televised via satellite and
cable to surrounding states. Betty Wills did the post
production work for the final 6 episodes of the series.
TRINITY MEADOWS TELEVISION
A weekly television series covering the horse racing at Trinity Meadows
in
Willow Park, Texas. The series was produced, written and directed
by
Betty Wills. Events were videotaped, and included feature
stories, and
highlights of the week's races. It was the first television
series of
its kind to cover the full gambit of paramutual horseracing in Texas,
and
was broadcast for two seasons on Gaylord SuperStation, KTVT in
Dallas/Fort Worth.
A CELEBRATION OF HORSES
"The American Saddlebred"
, with guest star, William Shatner, was presented to national public
television by APS member station, WKNO-TV, Memphis. It was the
pilot episode for
a proposed series entitled, "A Celebration Of Horses", created and
produced
by Betty Wills. The program took first place honors for Broadcast
Media
Excellence, sponsored by the American Horse Shows Association.
Ancestral Fishes
A public television mini-series on three of the largest freshwater
fishes found in North America. The programs were presented to
national public television by APS member station, WKNO-TV,
Memphis. Each episode was produced, written and directed by
Betty Wills, and is currently being distributed by Earthwave
Productions.
"The Alligator Gar" was the number one rated program of the evening for
Houston
Public Television (2 years in a row), and Detroit Public Television
during
the competitive July sweeps. |
